Ok – for anyone who may need this, I have figured out the settings necessary to use your cingular bluetooth phone as a wireless modem for your laptop (pc/mac)
In your bluetooth settings, pair your laptop with your phone, then use the following settings:
User: WAP@CINGULARGPRS.COM Password: CINGULAR1 Dial: * 9 9 * * * 1 #
You should be able to use your phone to connect to the net now and surf the net.
I have used this for some time, but just had to set it up again while on a train from DC to Philadelphia this week, so I thought I’d post it here for any who may need it!
I use this same configuration with my PDA, my dell laptop and my iBook G4…works like a charm!
